Hi All,
Just thought I'd share a solution with you. A customer called me with a problem, that when he logged into PowerFuse as a user, the error "Locally cached PowerFuse settings were not found. PowerLaunch cannot continue" was displayed. Also if you went into the %programfiles%\res powerfuse\data\dbcache folder, there was only an empty transaction folder. Normally there's supposed to be 4 folders or so in there.

Checking the RES KB, it said a reboot is enough to solve it. Unfortunatly this did not seem to help in this case.

It turned out the customer was using Windows Authentication on the SQL server. Since the PowerFuse Agent service is running with LocalSystem credentials, it had no rights to the PoweFuse datastore hence copying the datastore to the local cache fails miserably.

Changing the logon acount for the RES PowerFuse Agent to a domain\something account and bouncing the service solved the problem.

Cheers,
/TRG
